ZenTangle Pinot Gris

Colour: Pale straw with green highlights.

Bouquet: Fresh pear juice with white flowers and a hint of feijoa and cinnamon stick.

Palate: Initially the palate opens with the flavours of Nashi, cut pear and jasmine then these are followed by baked apple and cinnamon through the mid-palate. These generous fruit flavours are complemented by a rich mouth-feel and a creamy lingering finish.

Vintage Conditions: The growing season was very favourable. The summer was warm to mild with cool nights that led to the development of pristine aromatics and flavours. The wines of the 2021 vintage are that of balance, style and exceptional varietal characteristics.

Winemaking: Close monitoring of vineyards allowed the grapes to be picked at optimal ripeness. Fermentation proceeded on full solids, utilising yeast indigenous to the vineyard. The wines were then left on their lees post blending, giving the wine complexity and finesse.

Vineyards: The fruit for the 2021 Pinot Grigio is sourced from the Riverland and Barossa regions of South Australia.
