Costa San Vincenzo

The COSTA SAN VINCENZO wines take their inspiration from classic Italian styles.

The Coast St Vincent separates the cool blue waters of the local Gulf from the beautiful vineyards, orchards and olive groves of the Fleurieu Peninsula, where the McLaren Vale wine region is located.

Italian grape varieties, such as Sangiovese, Vermentino and Fiano are well suited to the region’s warm Mediterranean climate. The COSTA wine style uses minimal winemaking intervention to capture the unique flavours of the Italian varieties we focus on.

Sangiovese

Sangiovese is well suited to the Mediterranean climate of McLaren Vale, which is similar to the Southern Tuscan and Lazio coastal areas in Italy. Bright, juicy, succulent fruit, medium to full bodied with finely balanced tannin and oak.

Vermentino

The Vermentino grape variety is relatively new to the Fleurieu / Adelaide region. It has adapted extremely well to our Mediterranean climate, which is similar to that of its native Italian origins, most notably the island of Sardinia and the Ligurian Coast near Genoa. Costa Vermentino is aromatic, crisp and refreshing, a perfect accompaniment to the glorious seafood from the Gulf St Vincent, and beyond.
