Muster; the great Australian way to round up horses and cattle. In this case we have rounded up grapes from low yielding premium Barossa vineyards and only those that measure up to the highest quality, pass muster.

Muster Wines are sourced from low yielding vineyards mainly in the northern sub regions of Greenock and Ebenezer. They are inspired by some of the great wines from Spain and at the same time demonstrate a true expression of modern Barossa.

Style Highlighting the wonderful Mourvedre variety.

100% Mourvedre, Mataro, Monastrell All being the same variety, depending on which part of the world you live. We couldn't  decide which one to use so we called it all 3– affectionately M

100% Barossa Valley Old vines, 3 vineyards  each fermented and aged separately.
Bethany and Vine Vale sub regions,  approx. 260m above sea level. Soil– sediments of sand, gravel and clay.

12 months aging in 4 and 5 year old 300 litre French oak barrels.

The Wine
Full Bodied, black fruits, dried raspberries dipped in dark chocolate Dried herbs and spice, earthy, savoury finish.

Alc/Vol. 14.2%        Drink  now - 2020 

Muster History

Gottfried Muster arrived from Europe with his young family in 1859 and settled in the Barossa Valley shortly after.

150 years later, the Muster Family is proud to release this fine wine.
